Job Description: The Quality Coordinator is responsible for documenting and communicating with our customers on matters surrounding material defects, industry standards and specifications, and environmental documents. This role is key in helping Mill Steel customers resolve all steel related issues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Promptly answer and delegate qualitysupport@millsteel.com emails
  • Help provide solutions to customer problems
  • Communicate with production personnel on customer related concerns
  • Log customer concerns with detailed information and documentation
  • Review finished goods on hold
  • Assist the credit department in managing unauthorized debits
  • Coordinate customer visits with our metallurgists
  • On-site customer visits for issues
  • Work with production team on quality calls
  • Quarantine suspect inventory
  • Work with vendor quality personnel on material to be claimed back to suppliers
  • Understand and be able to provide customers with PPAP’s, IMDS, Conflict Minerals, and Certificate of Origin documents
  • Review and analyze data pertaining to issues reported from customers and production to find trends to develop improvement projects
  • Write root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Participate as a team auditor for MPA’s

What you will have…

  • Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management/Fulfillment or other related business degree.
  • Must have demonstrated high performance in problem solving, multitasking, teamwork and effective prioritization skills
  • Should have strong attention to detail
